Mission Opportunities!
YOU are invited to be part of God's mission to bring healing to this broken world, and to be "repairers of the breach," as the Prophet Isaiah proclaimed to Israel:   Your ancient ruins shall be rebuilt; you shall raise up the foundations of many generations; you shall be called the repairer of the breach, the restorer of streets to live in.

Here are opportunities through Grace, and through the joint ministry with Christ Episcopal, to get involved in that mission:

Mission Opportunities through Grace:Sunday School Teacher:We are hoping to build a new Sunday School for the Fall and beyond. To be successful we need persons willing to teach, and to grow their skills for teaching and preparing Sunday's lessons. For questions or to express interest please email Julie Buckingham.

Choir Singer:The choir is always happy to welcome new singers, all voices. Rehearsals are on Sundays before and after worship. For further questions, or to express interest please eMail Carol WeberWe also hold special rehearsals for Bach Cantatas which are presented twice a year.

Mission Committee Member:
Our Global Mission Committee is looking for people with a heart for missions (both local and overseas) who are interested in helping Grace raise awareness of and engage in mission work.

Stewardship Leader:We are looking for a individuals to assist with our Stewardship learning and practice. We are looking for persons with organizational skills and a sense that Stewardship is a matter of our faith. For questions or to express interest please email Julie Buckingham.

Mission Opportunities jointly through Christ Episcopal and Grace:
The Pastoral Care Team is looking for new disciples

Telephone Caller:Asked to make telephone calls to the sick and shut-in as scheduled. (Based on present scheduling, each person is assigned once every two months.) Needs a pleasant personality and a willingness at times to be a good listener. Expected to attend Pastoral Care meetings once a month.

Card Sender:Asked to send a "get well," "thinking about you," or appropriate holiday card to the sick and shut-in. (Based on the present schedule, at least once every two months. Frequency is dependent on number of card senders.)  Needs to write legibly. Supplying cards and postage is optional. Expected to attend Pastoral Care meetings once a month.

Transportation Person:Willing to assist in patient transportation to and from doctor's office/hospital, food pick up and delivery, medicine pick up and delivery, on an occasional basis. Good driver with a reliable car an asset. Expected to attend Pastoral Care meetings once a month.Anyone interested in these positions please eMail Aubrey V. Thompson (Christ Church)

The Prayer Shawl Ministry invites everyone to knit:Meetings are held at Grace on the 2nd Wednesday and 4th Thursday of the month. All you need to bring is yourself, and the willingness to learn how to knit. Prayer shawls are given to sick, shut-ins, the bereaved, and anyone in need of comfort and prayers.  For further information please email Lynn Buckingham (Grace)
